Submissions and APC
Submissions should advance knowledge and spark insightful discussions on core and emerging issues, theoretical frameworks, and research methodologies in Central Asia. Reflecting the spirit of our title, we actively encourage critical analyses of key concepts or comparative trends in public policy and economics within the region. We particularly seek case studies and nuanced investigations into specific issue falling within the journal’s core areas of inquiry.
As a fully open access journal, Central Asia Observation charges an APC to cover publication costs.
However, under the 2023-2024 funding policy of funding bodies, authors from the UNESCO-defined Central Asia region are exempt from this charge. This policy allows researchers from the region to contribute their valuable insights to the journal without financial barriers.
All submissions to Central Asia Observation are double-blind peer reviewed.
For more information on submitting articles or proposals for themed sections, please refer to the instructions for authors page.
